Handrails are not as common now a days on vehicles.

The Chinese Type 59and T-62 are good examples of tanks with handrails or as they are also referred to as infantry rails.

Both tanks have two handrails per side where the Type 59 front rail is straight.

Notice how the front rails on the T-62 are curved.
